title : WE'RE IN MIAMI BITCH

At Fort Lauderdale (love how the word Lauderdale rolls off the tongue so perfectly) we visited Hollywood  beach and Las Olas. The two beaches are akin to our own East Coast beach and Keppel Bay.
Las Olas, (like Keppel Bay, though the latter is in no way as grandiose as the former is,) is home to the preposterous and extravagant. While cruising down the Millionaire's Row on our way out to the ocean to snorkel, we caught sight of countless mega yachts--some of which, according to our captain, cost over $200 million dollars. Most of these yachts were parked by opulent mansions that cost a little less than $50 million dollars, and owned by some of the richest people in the country.

On a related note, the weather was beyond terrible for snorkeling. We ended up seeing a couple of fishes before giving up and returning to the boat because of how much we were getting trashed around by the waves. It was unbearable. It was so bad that a couple of people started vomiting on board, and the sound...oh the sound of the abject..........

Snorkeling #fail!

We also went to Miami beach, which is something different altogether. It's like Sentosa, only infinitely better. Endless beaches, perfect restaurants, an abundance of activities.....Oh yes please.
Miami is also where Ultra Music Festival takes place annually (the line up is something like Tiesto, Afrojack, Groove Armada etc on Day One, Duck Sauce, Justice, Avicii, etc on Day Two, and D Guetta, Armin, Kaskade, Fedde Legrand & etc on Day Three. Sounds almost too good to be true....except tickets cost $600. Sigh. Somebody pass me my iPod now.

And that concludes my beach adventures in Florida!
